Regardless of your reason, the good news is that you can download old versions of Xcode (and a lot of other tools) from the Apple Developer Center. I opened the project in Xcode 12 and this popped up:

For the latest version and a theoretically 'easy' installation, you can use the App Store. Two reasons off the top of my head though:ġ) To compare with your previous experience 21 I'm getting an error where I can't install XCode because my MacOS version is 10.15 when the requirement is version 11 or higher. Valid question – it’s not often you’ll need one. Whyyy would I need an old version of Xcode? Whyyy would I need an old version of Xcode?.
